Norma J. Ward of Horton, MI, age 90, passed away peacefully at home in Horton surrounded by her loving family on February 20, 2026.
She was born on July 29, 1935, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Donald H. White and Bernice Ruth (Bushrey) White. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, James O. Ward, parents; Donald H. White, Bernice Ruth (Bushrey) White, brothers; Willard J. White, Federick S. White, Gerald (Jerry) White, and sister; Anna M. (White) Jacobs and her Grandson, Christopher A. Magness. She is survived by her daughters Cindy (Randy) Magness, Cathy (Craig) McKinney, Charlene (Donald) Hughes, and Penny (Larry) Monroe, grandchildren Michele (Brandon) Cave, Jared (Heather) McKinney, Jaime (Jason) Collins, Sarah Wojciechowski, Stephanie Magness, Donald (Olivia) Hughes Jr., Melissa Hughes, Brittany (Nick) Wolf, and
Tyler Monroe, 22 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She worked at Comerica Bank in Spring Arbor as a Teller, and at Naylor Realtor in Jackson. Norma enjoyed many activities such as crocheting, knitting, macrame, clay, toll painting, traveling, and vacationing at the cabin up north. Norma was a very hard worker, loved life and her family.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Concord Presbyterian Church, located at 201 Hanover St. in Concord. Visitation will be at 10:00, service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Concord Presbyterian Church and Hospice of Hillsdale County.
