Stanley Gregg Obituary

Stanley Hollis Gregg age 86 of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Saturday the 21 st of February under the loving care of Jackson County Medical Care Facility, Henry Ford Jackson Hospice and his family.

Stan was born in Jackson County, Michigan to his parents Hollis and Ila Jean (Burdett) Gregg. Stan was the oldest of 10 siblings. Graduate of Jonesville High School in Michigan.

Stan was Married to Phyllis Cummings. He remarried to Shirley Groulx for several years and then divorced.

Stan was employed by Consumer Energy for 32 years where he worked as a Graphic Artist. He was also a self-employed photographer. After retirement, he worked for Lifetouch Photography and traveled to churches for portraits. He photographed many of Michigan’s historical locations, local and state events, lighthouses and wildlife. He loved being the main photographer for Jacksons Civil War Muster and the Hot Air Jubilee. Stan also photographed Santa Paws for the Jackson County Cascade Humane Society.

Stan was active for 34 years with the Lions Club in Battle Creek and Jackson, Michigan.

He is survived by his son, Kevin (Kara) Gregg of Clarklake; his grandchildren, Kinsey Wilkins, Nick (Tori) Gregg, and Max Gregg; and his great-grandchildren, Ellis and Reese.

Preceding in death are his parents Hollis and Ila Jean (Burdett) Gregg. Brothers Charles Gregg, David (Cora)Gregg and sister Myrtle (Robert) Lafaye.

Living siblings: Larry (Judi) Gregg, Jeanene(Lawrence deceased) Bruner, Jim (Joyce) Gregg, Frank (Beth) Gregg, Mary Carroll (Thomas deceased), Ruth (Fred) Brauneck and Dwight Gregg.
